Material:
PVC (polyvinyl chloride), artificial leather basis, is for textile purposes used in a softer format with up to 50% of plasticizers. As such, it is often used for clothing and upholstery. PVC based artificial leather is slightly elastic, thus can be used for changing the complex forms.
PVC is resistant to heat; it can be used at the temperatures ranging from -10 ° C to +65 ° C. It acts as air and water barrier and withstands cold and sun. It also withstands shock and, due to the higher rigidity, heavy load. Except to acetone, it is resistant to most chemical compounds.
The bottom layer is composed of polyester. This type of artificial leather is used when high durability and abrasion resistance are not required.
When sewing leather it is necessary to use needles for leather. For a smooth follow of the material use a foot with the upper feed.
