Jacquard fabric is a general term for patterned fabrics woven on a jacquard loom. The pattern on the fabric is formed by interweaving different threads. The most typical representatives are brocade and damask.
The material is a combination of fibres and includes the main features.
Material:
Cotton is a natural fibre derived from the seeds of the cotton plant. It is soft, highly absorbent, a good insulator, pleasant to touch and to wear. The quality of cotton depends on its purity, fibre length and dye, while the quality of the fabric depends on the thickness of thread, method of weaving, various dressings and treatment. Many cotton blends exist, especially cotton and artificial fibres.
Polyester is a synthetic fibre used either by itself or in a mixture with other fibres. It is hard and highly resistant and does not wrinkle. Due to its low absorbency it dries quickly. It can withstand sunlight and most chemicals.
